Alienware Area51 Threadripper is a fully-functional gaming PC that’s designed for enthusiasts. It’s built with AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper processors, which offer great performance at high prices. This article will explain what makes this machine so special as well as how to build one yourself!
Alienware Area51 Threadripper: Design and Build
The Area-51 Threadripper is a unique case, one that’s been developed and refined over the years. It’s what you might call an “Alienware” product—a name synonymous with high-quality hardware from Dell.
The design of this PC is very similar to others in its series: it has a high-gloss black finish with red accents, but it also has some features that set it apart from other systems like ours:
- Watercooling support (the above picture shows our water-cooled test bench)
- Support for full-sized DDR4 RAM
- Support for up to 64 GB ram modules
Alienware Area51 Threadripper: Watercooling
Watercooling is a great way to keep your system cool, but it’s not recommended for beginners. It requires more maintenance than air cooling and requires more space. However, if you want the best performance possible out of your rig then water cooling will be worth it!
Alienware Area51 Threadripper: Performance
It’s important to note that the Alienware Area51 Threadripper is only available with a Core i9-9900K. This means that if you’re looking for better performance and more cores, then you’ll have to go with an Intel CPU like the 9700K or 9700K. If this is still not enough speed for your needs, then there is also another option: AMD’s Threadripper 2990WX processor which has 16 cores and 32 threads.
However, most people don’t need all these cores because they simply don’t use them! For example, in gaming, I rarely ever use more than 4 or 5 threads at once (even when playing games like Civ VI). And since most software doesn’t take advantage of multiple cores yet either—you could get by just fine with only 8 threads running alongside whatever else gets used up by your other applications/games.
Takeaway:
The Alienware Are51 Threadripper is a great build, with excellent performance and an aesthetic that’s sure to wow. It’s not cheap though, so if you’re looking for something that can run games at 1080p or above at 60fps, this may not be the best option for your budget.
The Alienware Area51 Threadripper comes with a water-cooling kit but it doesn’t come with any fans (or even an external PSU). You’ll need to buy those separately if you want them in your PC case. If water cooling isn’t important then there are cheaper options out there that don’t include this feature like the CyberPower Gamer XT 1500W Power Supply.
If you don’t mind spending more money on an expensive system then this build might be worth considering as long as you are willing to take care of all aspects such as maintenance costs due to the complexity of its chassis design
Conclusion
So there you have it, the Alienware Area-51 Threadripper. We hope this review has given you all of the information that you need to know about it and how well it performs compared to other systems on the market. If there is anything we can do for you, then please let us know in the comments below!
